The idea for GOVARDO began to form when two friends who met in Bath, UK decided to quit their day jobs and settled in a sunny village in Goa for several months. Disconnected from the internet, with just a guitar and a couple of microphones the two discovered a powerful musical connection and wrote the first GOVARDO songs. Filled with an energy they’d never experienced before, Dom & Jack returned to Europe and started spreading their new sound.
“Follow the Sun” became their motto as they drove over 45,000 miles seeking out sunny weather and discovering epic places. The unique GOVARDO sound was continually being forged by the experiences, challenges and people they met on the road. The vision for a global mission is becoming more and more clear as the duo now make their way to prestigious concert stages all around the world and create music with a timeless and emotional nature. In summer 2018 GOVARDO burst onto the international ice skating scene after they recorded bespoke music for Canadian Olympic ice skaters, Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier. The stripped back sound features fingerstyle guitar and raw vocals.
